The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, passed in November 2010, called upon ADHS to create a system to govern the medical use of marijuana. This system includes a method for approving, renewing, and revoking the registration of qualifying patients, designated caregivers, non-profit medical marijuana dispensaries, and non-profit medical marijuana dispensary agents
In response to the recent rulings in the federal court and Maricopa Superior Court, the Governor instructed ADHS to proceed with the dispensary portion of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
